Carrie Berk, Chriselle Lim and Diana Horsfall are some of the top fashion bloggers right now, but how did they get here?

Fashion blogs are something that, in recent years, have been losing traction because of the influx of blogging-style content on social media. On platforms like Instagram, the content is quick-read and easily accessible. But, these women have kept their momentum regardless, which is not an easy feat. Today I will be exploring what it is about each of these women that keep them relevant on the internet.

Carrie Berk

Carrie Berk has become an inspiration to many teen girls over the last 3 years. Being only 17, Berk is a published author, social media influencer and fashion blogger. She has drawn her young audience off the social media platforms and onto her website to keep up with all of her content in one place.

She posts weekly on her website in a collage style collection. She uses bright images for each of her stories, many including other popular influencers, that would catch the attention of her specific audience. Her posts like 10 Trends To Look Out for During Lockdown and Style Inspo: Hailey Bieber have great SEO because they include other influencers that foster her same type of content/audience.

She does many sponsorships/ads on her website with popular brands such as Dr. Marten, Converse and Nike, which tend to be big within her age group.

Chriselle Lim

Chriselle Lim is a wardrobe stylist who took to the internet in 2011 to blog about her personal style and what it’s like to be in the fashion industry. Her goal is to inspire women to feel comfortable with their most true self, whatever that may be. She posts a lot about how to style your own wardrobe, tips from a professional, and self-care.

She posts weekly on her website while also being heavily active on Youtube and Instagram. She follows a very classy aesthetic with professional camera shots and a striking black and white layout. Her content, while mostly fashion, also includes glimpses of her personal life as a mother. Her only shortfall is that since her topics are so broad, her SEO may be impacted.

Similar to Carrie Berk, Chriselle Lim does a wide array of sponsored content with brands like Chanel and QUAI. This definitely caters to her audience of adult women who love luxury fashion. While Carrie’s ads seem a little in-your-face, Chriselle seems to have a more subtle approach.

Diana Horsfall

Diana Horsfall is a fashion and lifestyle blogger dating back to 2013. She’s established in the fashion industry and co-founded Dispurs Fashion Magazine, but blogs her fashion tips and travels on her site.

She posts weekly content in a collage-style layout. While her images and titles are great, her website seems out-of-date. It is not easy to navigate and some of her ads cover up titles/menus. She has an eye-catching aesthetic of black and white mixed with heavily saturated photos of travels/fashion.

Diana’s website, while being slightly out-of-date, is still widely successful and rather easy to navigate. Her content is great for fashion, but also will draw the attention and gathers great SEO from her travel posts as well.

Fashion blogging is a little harder today when taking the website approach, but the three of these ladies are doing it with little to no flaws. Their websites are easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing, which garners a lot of their success. By taking a simplistic approach, these three blogs are great examples of a successful approaches to blogging in the social media age.
